- 1 Pop-up Sprinkler
- 1 PVC Tee
- 2 zip ties
- 1 bean ball or any type of ball
- 1 screwdriver
- 1drill/soldering iron (to make hole)
Step 1 Unscrew the head off the Sprinkler
Pull it out; it will reveal a long stainless steel spring.
Detach it from the head as you will be needing this spring as your main launcher.
Step 2 Set Up Spring
Attach a zip tie on one end of the sprinkler. Make sure it's tight and secure.
Put the spring back inside the Sprinkler with the zip tie end first.
Step 3 Secure Everything
Pull the zip tie through the bottom of the spring.
Screw the PVC tee below the sprinkler, and make sure the zip tie comes out through one end.
Use another zip tie to secure the one attached to the sprinkler, as you do not want the spring flying out when firing your cannon.
Step 4 Finalize
Drill a hole on the side of the sprinkler 1.5 inches above the bottom.
Make sure it's large enough to fit a screw driver.
Step 5 Load Up Your Cannon!
Using the head of the sprinkler, push the spring down as far as it'll go.
While holding it in place, put the the screw driver though the whole, this will act as the trigger,
Feed the bean ball inside the Sprinkler. When ready, just pull the screw driver out and it will release the spring with immense preasure.
Find yourself a target. When ready just pull out the screw driver. This Sprinkler Cannon is powerful enough to send a 2 pound object all the way across 30-40 feet in distance. It's pretty harmless depending on what kind of objects you launch with this cannon.
It's a great way to recycle an old broken pop-up sprinkler.
